We are having a problem with Adobe Acrobat 9 pro.  We have been using this program for some time now but as of today every time I try to OCR some documents an error comes up, could not run this sequence because one or more source files cannot be found.  First time seeing that.  Please advise.

Hello Braylonm,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are not able to run OCR using Acrobat 9, Is that correct?

Please check for any pending updates of Acrobat from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after installing any updates and see if this brings any difference.

You may also refer and try the troubleshooting steps from the following article Troubleshooting Acrobat OCR

Note: Acrobat 9 is already declared as an end of life and support product, so above suggestions may or may not work. End of Support means that Adobe no longer provides technical support or distributes runtimes. This policy affects product and security updates for all derivatives of a product or product version (localized versions, minor upgrades, operating systems, dot and double-dot releases, and connector products).

For detailed information, refer to End of support | Reader 9 and Acrobat 9 (and earlier)

Let us know how it goes and share your findings.

Regards,

Anand Sri.
