This may be a totally stupid question...but how do I break apart a longer video into clips, save them, and rearrange them into a new video?

1.  Double Click the clip (in the "Project Panel" to open it in the "Source Monitor")

2.  Set In and Out points (in the "Source Monitor")

3.  Click the "Clip" menu (top of screen)

4.  Click the "Make Subclip..." option (and a "Make Subclip" window will open)

5.  Name your subclip

6.  Click "OK" (to close the "Make Subclip" window and have the subclip appear in the "Project Panel")
