Hi,

To preserve confidentiality of documents, i need to remove confidential data in the pdf files. This tool works great but i found that when suppressing the datas, the quality of the document is downgrade. As soon as applied, the document contening suppressed data sort blurry. It looks like there is a pixel loss but at the same time the document size explose (x3 normally). I would like to know if there is anyway to minimise the image quality drop of the document after suppression. Is there any option wich give you the possibility to keep good resolution after applying data suppression?

Afin de préserver la confidentialité de certains documents traités, il m'est nécessaire d'appliquer des biffures dans les documents pdf. L'outil de biffage marche bien, toutefois, lorsque je supprime les informations confidentielles associées, le pdf perd en qualité et devient quelque peu flou. Alors qu'il perd en définition, le document explose pourtant en taille (jusqu'à 3 fois normallement). J'aimerais savoir s'il est possible de minimiser la perte de qualité lorsque les informations confidentielles sont supprimées. Y-a-t'il une option qui permet de conserver la résolution de base même lorsque ces biffures sont apposées après la suppression des informations?

Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. AS per the description above, when you are suppressing /removing confidential data, the quality of the document is getting downgraded and there is pixel loss, Is that correct?

Please try flattening the PDF if you have layers in the PDF and then try removing the sensitive data from the PDF and see if this brings any difference in the quality of the PDF, to flatten a PDF, you can refer to the following Adobe article Printing complex PDF document using Adobe Acrobat

You can also try optimizing the PDF file and can audit the space usage of a PDF Optimizing PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Pro

If you want to reduce the file size after redact, you should be able to use Save As. Saving using the Save retains the old and new info.
