Bugs in QuickTime Export in CS4

    soom1976 Community Member
      MAC OS X Leopard.
I don't use Flash CS4 just because of the hundreds of old and new bugs that were carefully transported from CS3 and some created anew and sold for ridiculously big money.
But sometimes I try using it to test things that didn't work on CS3 and guess what - I still cannot find ANYTHING that was fixed.

QuickTime export is no exeption: exporting a QuitckTime Movie leaves traces exactly as it was in CS3. (I remember - it worked on Flash8). So there is no way to export videos from Flash on a MAC, forcing to use workarounds (exporting PNG sequences and editing them in another software).

          ?

QT export works perfectly fine in CS3 - on both Mac and PC. I have noticed that when I export a QT from a PC with CS3, and then import it into Final Cut, it needs rendered because Final Cut reads the framerate as 10. Other than that it is fine.

For me, and everyone I know, QT export NEVER worked before CS3, regardless of OS.

So I am unsure why you would have an opposite experience.

            That is so so weird!
I've been trying to export a clean QT Movie for years on different platforms. I did it at work and home, on both PC and MAC - I never had good results. (I didn't try CS4 on PC yet, but on PC you have AVI, so no need for QT). I might be mistaken about Flash8 - now I remember it was actually exporting a MOV container with SWF data inside it.
Anyway - I also saw a couple of threads on this forum with exactly the same problem.
Can you please tell me the exact steps and settings you do on a MAC and get a clean nice QuickTime Movie?
