Keeps going to page mentioning about "all-new" extension on Chrome at startup.

Every time I startup Chrome, "Adobe Acrobat extension for Google Chrome​" keeps loading, but my settings are set for an "Open the New Tab page" to startup instead.  The new tab loads, but then the extension page loads as well.  I also already have the extension for Chrome.  What could be the problem?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you in advance.
