Lightroom 5 changed to Chinese

I don't normally use LR 5 on my Mac laptop but when I started to run LR 5 today, it booted up in Chinese.  It is like normal on my iMac.  Both are running High Sierra.

Should I just delete and reinstall or ...?

Go to Preferences > General and change Language back to  your preferred language.  If you don't know Chinese, then you can just go by position in the menu and dialog:

It still stays in Chinese regardless of which choice that I make in the drop down menu.

Hmm. Try resetting LR's preferences: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/ . That often fixes things when LR goes wonky.
