Inthe legacy Refine Edge feature (Shift + Select and Mask) the P keyboard shortcut for Preview behaves erratically/doesn’t work. Tested in last two versions on a different Mac machines.

Hello, Sahil!

Thanks for responding. I have tried everything. Problem occurs on different Mac machines (iMacs, Mac Pros) on different Photoshop installations (both CC2017 & CC2018). Problem does not occur on Windows. It is extremely unlikely that there is anything installed on all those Macs that interfere with just this one shortcut in Photoshop... Does it work for you on a Mac, please? (This happens only in the legacy Refine Edge dialog box shown below, accessible by holding Shift while selecting Select and Mask: pressing P does nothing, gets stuck, acts erratically, provides extremely slow response when it finally rarely works).

This seems to be a known issue with MacOS, and our time is working on a fix for the same, in the mean time you can use a workaround, keep holding the letter "P" for 2 - 3 seconds when you'll leave it, it might work.
