Range mask in 7.3

Good morning all

Installed 7.3 soon after availability on desktop iMac

Up till now - everything working well, very happy.

Today I noticed that in Develop module the Range Mask function is always blanked out (doesn't become available).

Known issue?

Any solution / workaround?

I may be asking the obvious, but-

Are you drawing a Graduated Filter or a Radial Filter first?

Forgot to start drawing the filter to activate the range mask.
