Unable to import h.264 video or export as h.264

I am using the latest version of premiere, and I have many video files encoded in h.264 or h.265. It is mostly game footage and it is encoded using a constant frame rate of 60fps. All footage is 1080p. The only way I have been able to import any video (into the timeline) is by transcoding it in handbrake. I am using windows 10.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi cjdonley,

Sorry for the trouble. Are you using the footage from Elgato or any other source?

There is a known issue with the latest version of Premiere Pro related to Elgato footage. The workaround is to transcode the footage before importing into Premiere Pro.

Thanks,

Vidya
