Hi Experts,

I am working on a project for a client and they want a video of their product and part of the requirement is the product be rotating continuously as text is show to one side of the object.

An example would be in this video

Xplore Technologies XBOOK Rugged 2-in-1 Tablet PC from 4 secs to 10 secs

Would this be done with filming the object using a green screen and rotate the object with a stationary shot or is there another way of accomplishing this?

One way is to use a powered photography turntable, set up for keying (ex: painted chroma key green) with chroma key green background behind and beneath that turntable - like this one:

B&H Photo Video

and shoot the product full screen rotating. You will need to light it very carefully depending on the reflectivity of the product. You'll want to avoid any green spill onto the product itself.

Depending on the quality of key you can pull you may need to take the clip into After Effects to help clean u

Depending on the quality of key you can pull you may need to take the clip into After Effects to help clean up the image.

Once you have a good key pulled, you can position it anywhere on screen and jump the turning motion (as in your example) via editing.

That would be easiest.
