Update of a preset in 7.3.1

When you update a preset in LR Classic, the ID associated to the preset gets a new ID.  This causes other plugins to fail.

This was not the issue with the prior to 7.3 release.

Why does it need a new ID?  What should the plug-in developers use to know the preset uniquely?

I am sure there is a good reason for doing this, if you shared it we might understand why it was necessary to do this.

THanks

Interesting. I guess a plugin would have to refer to a preset by its name and containing group name (preset:getName() and preset:getParent():getName()), which of course changes when the user renames the preset or containing group.
