Hi,

I have a problem with Indesign CC 2018. When I open the application, it won't work. I can't work with it, because it crashes all the time. I also can't close it, I need to force stop it.

I already deleted it and downloaded it again, logged off the creative cloud and restarted my computer several times. What can I do?

Close InDesign. Then hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift (Mac), and relaunch InDesign. Respond in the affirmative to the dialog asking if you really want to replace the preferences.

(You don't have to be "quick' any more!)

To restore preferences on a Mac, hold down Cmd + Ctrl + Option + Shift. You have to be quite quick on a new Mac. You'll be prompted to restore preferences.

Hi Sanne,

I would like to know if the steps suggested by Jane worked for you, or the issue still persists.

Kindly update the discussion if you need further assistance with it.

Thanks,

Srishti
