the video I've shot with a Sony HXR-NX100 looks crisp, but any movement in the video shows up a bit jittery in editing.

What are the best settings / tips to secure more natural looking video during moving shots ?

Hi Tim,

It's important that the Sequence Setting used matches the footage. If for instance the frame rate differs, or using interlaced setting versus progressive incorrectly, that will cause visual issues.

Do you know what you are recording, like 1080i or 1080p60 for instance? What Sequence Settings used?

Best way to ensure correct Sequence Settings is to right-click one of the video source clips in Project Bin and select New Sequence from Clip.

Also, how did you import the video clips? Don't use File > Import. Rather, copy entire contents of SD card to New Folder on hard drive - copy everything, no changes. Then use Media Browser to Import in Premiere. Cures a lot of ills to use that method.

If you want to post a screen shot of Sequence Settings, we can look them over for issues.

Thanks
