I've been using a Brinno time lapse camera for a while and was always able to just drop the avi files into Premiere Pro and they would open without a hitch that was until I updated to 12.1.0 last week and now when I drop an avi file into Premiere Pro I get a "file format not supported" this even happens with files that previously worked fine. What has changed in this update?

Hi RyanE,

Is this on Mac? If so, sorry, this is no longer supported.

Kind regards,

Happen to me just now. Been using premiere and brinnos for years now without a problem.

Im using 12.1.1.

Quick solution I suppose is to batch transcode with mpeg Streamclip.

Hi Bobby,

As I understand it, it has to do with the internal file structure containing QuickTime 32-bit 7.x code, which we can no longer support based on our partnership with Apple.

That said, there is always the potential for engineering to create a custom version if enough users request it. Do so here: Support AVI files needed in newest release... URGENT – Adobe video & audio apps

Thanks,
Kevin
