Hello there,
Yes, you can. You would start by creating your 20-30
questions in a Question Pool. To do this start by selecting Quiz
> Question Pool Manager. To rename Pool1 to something more
meaningful, press F2 and give your pool a new title.
To add a question to the new pool, click the Plus button in
the Question in Pool pane. This will display the Question Types
dialog where you can choose the type of question you want to
include. Once you have created all of your 20 - 30 questions, click
OK to close the Question Pools Manager Dialog. If necessary you can
then adjust the captions, modify the question text etc.
Now, if you click back on the Slides heading (Filmstrip) you
can then add a random question by choosing Insert > Slide >
Random Question Slide. By default the first question pool should be
shown in the question pool menu of the New random question dialog
box. From here you can also set the score for this question, plus
set many other options When you click OK, you will see a random
question placeholder has now been added to your project.
Now, you just continue to add 9 more random question slides.
With regard to tracking, Adobe Captivate enables you to track
the learners scores, however to take advantage of this feature you
would need to have access to an LMS. To enable reporting in
Captivate, choose Quiz > Quiz Preferences. By default this will
highlight the Reporting category. Whilst you will notice that there
is an option to send the quiz data, many users experience problems
with this option and therefore I would recommend that you don't use
it.
I am not sure about tracking users in Captivate 3, so I will
defer to somebody else on this one. I believe that this should be
possible in Captivate 4. Since CP4 enables you to define variables
and write your own basic scripts - known as Advanced Actions
