lightroom - cannot see photos properly in develop mode

Dear all,

I am having trouble visualizing my photos when in develop mode. Do you know what could be the matter? In library I can see them correctly. I used to be open and process them just fine. I tried installing the latest updates, I tried restarting, tried to free up some disk space. Any better ideas I could employ to solve the problem?
