Further info: turning off 'Enable Fast Find' in Preferences -> Search fixes this issue, however Purge Cache Contents does not.

Are you still facing this issue? If yes, please try updating Acrobat to the latest patch using "Check for updates" option under "Help" menu, reboot the machine after installing update and try again. You may also download updates from here: Adobe - Adobe Reader : For Windows
