When I try to scroll a PDF file, the displayed image will contain lines and won't show the actual image until I click. Similarly, the old picture is shown if I go to another page until the next click. Tried to reinstall and update both Reader and graphics driver, no avail. My system is Windows 8.1, nVidia GeForce 820M (driver 391.35). Could you please help with this?

Hi kazi,

Could you try following troubleshooting steps:

Launch Reader > go to Edit> Preferences > Page display and change following settings:

1. Use a custom resolution

2. Try turning Off the smooth images, line art, enhance thin lines option .

Let us know if you need any help.

Hi kazi,

Could you try opening another pdf file using Reader to check if its not a file specific issue?

Also, try disabling "Use page cache" under Edit > Preferences > Page display and check if that helps.

If issue still persists, Would it be possible if you can share the pdf file you are working with to replicate the issue at our end? To share the file here in the forums, refer to the steps given here: How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud

Thank You,

Shivam

Thanks for the quick response! It's not file specific. Cleaning cash didn't help either.

Hi Kazi Bácsi,

We tried replicating the issue at our end but the issue was not reproducible. You may try removing Reader using cleaner tool which you can download from here: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs , reboot the machine, and install Reader from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution , reboot the machine and check.

Thanks,

Shivam
