Hi! So I've always edited my photos on my macbook air using lightroom. I have some presets in there that I can't live without, and neither can my business. I recently got a desktop and have lightroom all set up except for the presets! How can I sync them over so that I can start editing there?

Are we really talking about the new Lightroom CC, or are you using Lightroom Classic (or an older version like Lightroom 6)? And what OS are you using; MacOS or Windows?
See also this thread: Where is the "preset folder" on Mac and how can I arrange and share presets?

Yes, we really are talking about that. I’ve gotten to where I can sync my phone app and my desktop with pictures, but I’ve never had to do this before. I have the newest Lightroom update and OS El Captain. Its a really old desktop.

Ouch... El Capitan is really old. You might want to try to update to Sierra if the desktop can handle it... perhaps others may have another work around but the desktop OS doesn't meet the requirement for the newest Lr.
Also which Lightroom? Does it have a bright blue border or a gray border around the icon?
Light blue is the Cloud based version and gray is Classic.

How to set up your desktop depends on what version of Lr you are running, what OS you desktop is on. Can you elaborate?

If your presets are stored inside the catalog, you may experience this problem by using Lightroom with another catalog. At the same time, if the presets are not stored inside the catalog, opening the same catalog form another computer will not show you the presets.
Have you checked this?
