I've recorded a meeting in Adobe Connect and want to edit the downloaded MP4 using Premiere Pro but the audio is out of sync when the video is imported into Premiere Pro. I've read that the issue COULD be constant vs variable frame rate issues but I do not know if the MP4 was made using constant or variable frame rate. I would assume it would be whatever format Premiere Pro likes but I am just assuming. When playing the video using any other software (i.e., WMP) it plays fine. I've read that others have used Handbrake to convert the video from variable to constant but I am unable to download Handbrake here at work. My work around is to unsync the audio and video and sync it manually but this is very tedious. I've also read of others changing the file name from .mp4 to .mov but you need to have Quicktime installed on your computer and I also do not have the option to do this at work due to company policy and no admin rights. Any suggestions? I am using Premiere pro CS6.Thanks.

MP4 is a wrapper, what is inside YOUR wrapper - Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... A screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing - For Windows Internet Explorer press the PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard, and then do CTRL-V to paste the screen print from the clipboard into a forum message

Does your video use a Variable Frame Rate? See https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1110005
If yes, use https://handbrake.fr/ open source transcoder/converter to convert to Constant Frame Rate
