Transfer catalogue in lightroom classic on desktop to a laptop?

I work on a desktop and have my photos in catalogues on Lightroom Classic. Want to begin using a laptop and wondering if its possible to transfer photos from desktop catalogue into the laptop LR Classic and continue working on them?
