Premiere Pro Freezing After Opening Back Up

Hi,
I've been having an issue with premiere lately where I open up the project, everything is working fine, then minimize the program and open something else up. When I try to un-minimize premiere, it opens, but would be frozen for a couple seconds then return to normal. This happens every time I minimize the program making it hard to import anything into it, or even work on a project at all. I tried uninstalling Premiere, going back to an earlier version (version 12.0), and messing around with the memory to no success. This was kinda hard to explain, but if you have any questions or solutions please tell me.

I've never seen that behavior on my own system.  But...you don't need to minimize Premiere Pro when importing media.  You should be importing everything through the Media Browser.

Yeah I know that, I was just giving an example of when the issue could be inconvenient.
