Why does lightroom delete photos all by itself

Because when I delete one picture and asked to confirm deletion of one picture then explain where have all the other picture in the folder gone

The only explanation is that you must have had all of the images highlighted.

No it asked me to confirm deletion of 1 photo, not all, or 400

Always check what images are selected before confirming deletion. If you don't then there's a possibility that images you didn't realise were selected will be removed from catalog.
