Nvidia MX150 performance - problem?

I have a fairly new HP Spectre X360 which has both onboard Intel UHD 620 and a discrete Nvidia MX150 card.

If I set Lightroom ( Classic CC 7.4) to use the MX150, performance is worse than running in software.

Specifically when moving between images it does not draw the image fully most of the time.

Is this normal with this card or do I have a problem somewhere?

I am using the Geforce drivers version 397.93 from the Nvidia website.

Laptop also has 16Gb RAM and a Core i7-8550U.

Unless you have a 4K or 5K display, the GPU often slows down Develop performance:

Try disabling GPU support in Lightroom Performance preference panel.

Don't be surprised if performance with the discrete card improves

As I said in the OP, if I just use the integrated graphics (untick use GPU) it does perform better.

Query really is whether this should be expected with an MX150?

Is its GPU performance worse than the software based performance?

Not a major issue, but I bought a laptop with discrete GPU to add performance....!
