I created a project on Premiere Pro CS6, had issues with exporting, so I now have Premiere Pro CC 2018. Upon opening the project, firstly, CS6 says I have 253 files total, CC says 206 and I'm missing 6 files, so with that being said, what happened to the other 47 files? And secondly, when trying to link the missing 6 files, basically it says I can't as the audio doesn't match or something, so I manually try to insert the file and do it myself, and the file acts like it's ONLY a media file, but in-fact it has video footage too. What do I do? What's going on?

Hi josephc51995925,

Sorry for the trouble with the project. What is the file format & codec of the missing files?

Please check this article: Dropped support for QuickTime 7 era formats and codecs

If possible, install a previous version of Premiere Pro using the steps in this article: Install previous version of your Creative Cloud app

Create a new project, import the old CS6 project file into the new project & check the issue.

Let us know the status.

Thanks,

Vidya
