Download of special "server deactivated" CS2

Hi ive been told Adobe is offering CS2 as a free download. Is this true and if so how do I get it? I'm a personal user  not a business  (Please no computer jargon speak - plain old English only   ) thanks in advance.

No, CS2 is not free. It's a replacement for CS2 owners who lost the use of their software when the activation servers were closed down.

If you did not purchase a valid copy of CS2, you are not entitled to the replacement.

CS2 has never been made free. That was a misconception from various (reputable) media websites.

Actually CS2 is 13 years old.And indeed "NOT FREE". Adobe have never said that they don't mind - that seems to be a popular lie from people who just want it to be free, and don't care if they turn people into pirates.

So are other older Adobe products (CS6, CS5, etc). You will still need your original serial numbers to activate those!
In this case here, you can't activate CS2 apps with your original serial numbers, because the servers had to be shut
down. Thus, Adobe provided existing CS2 customers with special installer files and special serial numbers.

Again, this does NOT mean that Adobe made all CS2 apps free for everyone.

You can download lots of things. Doesn’t mean it is free. The download page makes the conditions very clear.
