Dear Helpers,
why have I always to wait about five seconds when I started Adobe Acrobat Reader?
In Detail:
- I start Adobe Acrobat Reader by loading a PDF-File.
- I can start to scroll for a second or two.
- Then I have to wait for about five seconds. I can do nothing.
- Then I can work as wanted.
My workflow is always stopped a little while. This problem have all workers (about 50 persons) in our office except of one(!), but we don't no why.
Thanks for any help.

Hi InDesignerix,
As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue when launching Acrobat XI on the machine, is that correct?
Please try following troubleshooting steps:
1- Check if an update is available for Acrobat using "Check for updates" option under "Help" menu, reboot the machine after installing update and try again.
2- Change the recently used documents list to 1 under Preferences > Documents.
3- If the pdf files are located on a network drive, add network location under privileged location and check if that helps.
4- Try disabling protected view and enhanced security by going into Edit > preferences > security ( enhanced).
More info here: Enhanced security setting for PDFs, Adobe Acrobat
Note: disabling protected view and enhanced security is for troubleshooting purpose only, and not recommended. Please turn the feature back on after troubleshooting is complete.
Let us know if you need any help.

Are you looking at the files online or where do they come from?
All files or some files?
In File > Properties, is "Fast Web View" on or off?
