importing files from i phone

Adobe Premier Pro - formerly used to import film and video footage from my phone- since I renewed my license it no longer imports the video with the sound- although the thumbnail is there only the sound file is available...

If you have video and audio in the Project window then most common user error is not source patching the track.

Thank you- I tried clicking on all the toggles and this time it worked- have never had a problem with this before- thank you for helping me everyone!

Please try double clicking on the icon in the project panel and try playing the video in the source monitor to check to see if there is sound there. Ann is right to check the patching area. You may also want to check your audio hardware preferences. On Windows -Edit/Preferences/Audio Hardware. On Mac-Premiere Pro/Preferences/Audio Hardware

Hi Rob,

There is sound in the project space and project video time line- the video footage goes missing when I try and select a clip to go in the timeline of the movie. The sound goes into the time line of the move fine!- there is a little sign that the video part is barred (circle wth stroke through it) this has never happened with my i phone clips before! If I import a film from the internet into the timeline of the movie project both parts are imported . I recently was relicensed in Adobe after a break of a year- not sure if this has anything to do with it!

What specific dot version of PR are you using?

Can you post a link to an upload of one of the problem files?

I assume this is a new project, and not an older project file?
