What is the import source (external disk, memory card ..?).

Have you tried an import from a local location (Desktop for example)?

Have you tested with a new catalog?

We do not ask you to change the catalog permanently but to see if it's related to the catalog or from the import location . This is how you can get your hands on the problem and find a solution.
