Hello all,

I'm having a challenge when I attempt to change any text in the essential graphics panel in Premiere. For easy of explaining, I've attached a screenshot of the problem. The default text on the template reads, "YOUR TEXT HERE" on both Line 1 and Line 2 however, any change to the text whether partially or in totality, I get this weird lettering appearing. eg. In line 1 I added an '!'. What's causing this problem? Is there a fix?

I've search the forum but doesn't appear to be a common problem. !

Hi kyle.mitchell30,

The default text on the template reads, "YOUR TEXT HERE" on both Line 1 and Line 2 however, any change to the text whether partially or in totality, I get this weird lettering appearing.

  • Make your changes in the text, save your project and close it.
  • Re-open and let us know if you can read your text normally.

Thanks,

Kulpreet Singh

Try resetting the preferences:

FAQ: How to reset preferences in Premiere Pro?

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:

Reset a workspace

Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
    • Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

from here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

Did you sync the font used in this graphics ? sometimes you have to wait a bit for fonts to sync,

and sometimes you have to restart premiere after syncing the used fonts.

It seems to me like this is a .mogrt file ? If yes, and if syncing fonts did not work for you, then you

can send me the .mogrt file and I can fix it for you, because it might be an expressions issue from

After Effects, and the new updated Expression Universalizer version 3.0 was not applied before

exporting the .mogrt from AE to Premiere Pro.

There might be other issues as well, but first try the font sync, restart premiere and let us know ...
