Unable to see titles

I can easily use the tools in essential graphics to create a title....I can see the container box that the title is in .... and I can reposition this...but no matter what I do I just dont ever see the title text!

The title appears as it should on the timeline etc...

I've played with the font size, transparency settings etc....

Have you tried changing the font to something simple like Arial ?

Can you post a screenshot of your timeline ? Maybe someone will see something the can suggest you try.

I'm puzzled by the title appearing as it should on the timeline  ... but you can't see the text. Where do you not see the text?

And ... you selected the Text tool, clicked in a box and it turned red, then you typed, right?
