Lagging Adobe Acrobat

I am currently creating PDF files on adobe acrobat and its lagging so much. I have tried opening up my files on different computers and I am still have the same issue. The program keeps crashing and I keep losing my content. I am frustrated because I am paying monthly to use this program but its SO SLOW! It takes me two times longer to do something. Can anyone help me?!

What's your operating system? What's your exact version of Acrobat?

Does it happen with all files, or just some? Is there an error message of some kind when it happens?
