I am using the highlight tool in black, is that not correct?
If you highlight in black, someone else can remove the highlight. Redaction has been available in Acrobat Pro since Acrobat 7—so for six versions now. There are multiple stories that hit the news when people think they are hiding information and someone else is able to retrieve it. Don't be one of those news stories! Instead, use Acrobat Pro's Redaction tools and do it properly.

NO! That is not how you blackout text in a PDF file. You must use the Redaction tool. Anything else is easily overcome and the text can be extracted and viewed.

Do you have Adobe Acrobat or the free Reader? If the former, which version?
