Lightroom Classic will not remove my photos

I have highlighted a whole bunch of photos that I want to remove from Lightroom, and it only allows me to remove one at a time. Nobody has time for that nonsense. I am getting tired of having to clean install the app whenever it doesn't work properly. What now, please?

If you do it properly, then LR will delete all the selected photos.

Select the desired photos in the grid and not the filmstrip at the bottom, and you should find that they are all deleted in one action.
