Content Preparation Progress splash screen

Why am I getting this splash screen every time I open or edit  a document.  It also occurs when changing pages.  It sometimes runs thru a progress process and self terminates bur most of the time it must me terminated manually.  It is very annoying!!

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are getting content preparation progress message when trying to open or editing a pdf, is that correct?
