Hi

I just started with Character Animator, sorry for the stupid question I tried to record 3 puppets in the same scene and now decided not to do that. How can I remove puppets from the scene? I now just made the two puppets invisible, but that can't be the best solution

Screen Shot 2018-08-01 at 18.54.23.png

And how can I delete scenes?

I just started and my "workspace" already got messy because I don't know how to remove the things I don't need anymore.

Appreciate any help or link to a tutorial that fits my issue.

Cheers

Have you tried selecting the item you want to remove and clicking delete on the kb?

You can also use Edit/Delete within Character Animator

Ditto what Jerry said:

  • To delete a puppet, click on puppet in timeline pane (bottom left of your screen shot) and hit the Delete key on your keyboard or use menu.
  • To delete a scene, click on scene name in project panel (top left of your screen shot) and hit the DEL key or use menu to Edit/Delete.

There are a number of keyboard shortcuts without corresponding right click (which is unusual). So you can use the “DELETE” key, but right clicking might only show “Rename” in the context menu. Took me a while to find that hitting ”Enter” on a number of things allows renaming (including handles in the rigging panel - which is great for draggers so in the timeline window you can tell which take is for which dragger).
