I finished a document in indesign including graphics and text. When i switch from normal view (display performance) to high quality or export the file as pdf i have grey fields instead of the graphic, all links work fine, but in the PDF is completely messed up. Can anybody help me?

Are the links up to date? What are the exact export settings?

Also, make sure you're checking files in Acrobat or Reader, not Mac Preview.

Do you have non-printing set as an attribute for those graphics?

I think the easiest thing would be for us to see the file.

Package it up, put it in a dropbox folder and provide a link to it.

Extract only one page with one "bugged" image that don't have any confident info.
