Try resetting your InDesign preferences.
Uninstalled InDesign (using Creative Cloud...see screenshot) and also had it uninstall preferences.
Did you also try deleting the ID caches?
Did you uninstall any 3rd party plugins, i.e, font management? Maybe even disable all fonts except for the system fonts.
I am having a similar problem today--also on a deadline this weekend.
InDesign appears to launch, but no windows are showing up for me. No white field, no spinning ball--just nothing except a banner asking if I want information about some new feature.
Have tried deleting the caches/preferences 4 times now.
Was working normally on Friday.
Photoshop is working normally, so doesn't appear to be a Creative Suite problem. Any advice?
Instructions for disabling fonts if that is a thing?

What version of InDesign? What operating system?
Current updated version of InDesign as part of Creative Suite.
Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.4
I'm going to update to Mac OS 10.13.6 now just in case that is an issue.
Just guessing, but can you get to the Window menu? Try unchecking Application Frame.
