Instead of grouping the selected pics in Library view the Preferences Window pops up. I never ever changed any shortcut and nor did I customize PS and LR for other shortcuts!

Hi alexanderm,

Sorry to hear that. Could you please let us know the exact version of Lightroom Classic CC you are using now?

We have tested this shortcut at our and its working fine for stacking the images. CTRL+G

You may try resetting the Lightroom preferences back to defaults and check if that helps.

How to set Lightroom Classic CC preferences

Mohit

Hi Mohit,

it's only a problem in the German version of Lightroom. There's a bug in the file TranslatedStrings_Lr_de_DE.txt.

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 10 Pro 22H2 -- LR-Classic 13.2 - Photoshop 25.6 - Nik Collection 6.9 - PureRAW 4 - Topaz Photo AI 2

Hi Axel,

Yes, I am aware of it but the user didn't mentioned that he's working in a German version.

But thanks for the drilling down the user query.

Regards,

Mohit

I think you'll work with an German version of Lightroom.

LR 7.4 broke the keyboard shortcut for Group Into Stack for German. For previous versions, it was assigned to Cmd/Ctrl+G. But in 7.4, Preferences is also assigned to Cmd+G (Preferences was previously assigned to Cmd+W).

The workaround (and Adobe's fix) is to change this line in TranslatedStrings_Lr_de_DE.txt:

"$$$/Application/Menu/Edit/Preferences/KeyWin=Cmd+g"

back to the original:

"$$$/Application/Menu/Edit/Preferences/KeyWin=Cmd+W"

The full informations you'll find here: Lightroom: German keyboard shortcut for Group Into Stack broken | Photoshop Family Customer Communit...

(LR 7.4 makes no other assignments to Cmd+W.)  See this article for editing TranslatingStrings:

You can keep working with the German version, it's no problem.

You have only change on line in the file TranslatedStrings_Lr_de_DE.txt as decribed in my answer.

I've had the same problem. After changing the .txt - file it's working.
