Hello,

I wanted to see if anyone has a solution for this challenge I am dealing with. When I first received my Nikon D850, There was not a way to use the NEF files in Lightroom. I saved all of my NEF files to my drive and then I used the DNG converter and made DNG copies of the files which I imported into my Lightroom Classic CC library. I did a lot of imaging on these files. My issue is that I want to point Lightroom to the NEF files and get rid of the DNG files.

Is there a way to do this? If so any help would be appreciated.

Will I lose all of my edits, metadata etc?

Thanks in advance for your help.

See my Syncomatic plugin which can copy all the editing work and other metadata from the DNGs to the corresponding NEFs. It relies on matching filenames , or you could use the capture time.
