Adobe Acrobat DC crashes (almost) always after 2 files are opened.

Hallo,

Windows 10 Pro,

Ryzen7 1700X

16GB Arbeitsspeicher G.Skill  FlareX 2x8Gb)

Samsung SSD 960evo 512GB

Ok, after closing one autostart programm after another I finally found the problem. Thank you for your suggestions, but nothing of that works because it seems to be an incompatiblity problem.

I've got a kfa² Geforce 1070 with an overclocking, fan speed and LED control feature program called XtremeTuner Plus. (http://www.galax.com/en/xtreme-tuner-plus)

After closing it (and remove it from autostart) everything works fine. So, it's not daemon-tools but another malefactor which causes the bug.

Thanks

Hi Clouds,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue with Acrobat, is that correct?

Please try following troubleshooting steps:

1- Try rebooting the machine once if you haven't already and check if that helps.

2-  Check if an update is available for Acrobat using "Check for updates" option under "Help" menu, reboot the machine after installing update and try again.

3- Launch Acrobat as an administrator - Run an Adobe program as administrator | Windows 7, Vista

4- If that doesn't work, run Acrobat in compatibility mode and check.

Also, let us know dot version of Acrobat installed on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version in Acrobat: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Is there any error message when Acrobat crashes?

Let us know if you need any help.

Hi, thanks for reply.

The used version is up to date: Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Version 2018.011.20058

I tried all your suggestions but nothing works.

I just made a clean install with deinstalling the programm with acrobat_ittools_cleaner_p2_061713. Then installed a clean testversion but still the same issue.

But: to try another system I installed the same version on Win 7 x64 on a virtual machine. It runs perfectly.

May there are incompatiblities with other programs? Daemon-Tools for example - my experience shows there is influence of this program to other programs.

As I mentioned in the first post, I use Windows 10 when the crash occurs.

Do you have another suggestion?

By the way - here is my system report:

Hi Clouds,

Try disabling Protected View / Enhanced security by clicking Edit menu > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) > select Off under Protected View > uncheck the box next to enhanced security > click OK. Relaunch Acrobat and check.

Note: Disabling protected mode/ Enhanced security is for troubleshooting purpose only, and not recommended. Please turn the feature back on after troubleshooting is complete.
