Update failed to install

I have RoboHelp HTML 7.02.001 on Win XP Pro SP3.

The Adobe Updater has launched, notified me of an update to RoboHelp 7.03, downloaded a file, run the file, and then displayed a message saying: Update failed to install.

Any ideas of what I should do about this?

Thanks

David

I don't know what has happened here as you should not have been able to install 2 without 1.

In Add / Remove Programs, you should see RH 7.0.2 and if you remove that, the theory is you will then see 7.0.1 and after removing that you should see the original install. You could try going that route and then apply all three patches, downloading them rather than using Update.

At worst you would have to reinstall.

Try downloading it from here.

Thanks Peter

I downloaded the update you suggested, but unfortunately this didn't install either. This time, however, there was a different error message: "Adobe RoboHelp 7.0.1 is not installed. Please install RoboHelp 7.0.1 before applying this patch."

I suppose this is true as I have already got Adobe RoboHelp 7.0.2.....

Thanks,

David

Thanks Peter

I have installed all three patches successfully (7.0.1, 7.0.2, and 7.0.3).

I actually installed all the patches without uninstalling anything - this is because my copy of RoboHelp is installed as part of the Tech Comms Suite, and that (the Suite) is the only item that appears on the Add/Remove programs list.

Thanks again for your help
