Hi Guys,

I'm an IMac and LR classic user.

I just went to export a new preset i'd made but it won't even give me the option to when I hit command click (see attached image)

Does anyone know how to rectify this problem.

Some other background info about this.

I was in a LR catalogue and noticed the preset i normally use wasn't in the presets panel.

I opened another catalogue and the preset was actually in this catalogue Presets Tab. I tried export the preset so that I could import it again into my other catalogue but it again didn't give me the option to do so as normal?

Anyone have any ideas, fixes?

if you check the box it will keep the presets with the catalog you are using.

And, conversely-

If you un-check the box in each of your catalogs preferences, they will all use the same presets located in the Global folder location.

Copy and Paste any and all to the 'Global' location.

The "Export" option is not available currently. (Maybe Abode will re-introduce it in future updates)

You do however have the option to "Show in Finder" where you can then Copy and paste (or save a backup) the preset .xmp file.

The other situation-"wasn't in the presets panel." is possibly that you were looking at different file-types of images.

Presets defined with 'Treatment and Profile" checked 'on' can appear or disappear depending on the photo being a RAW or JPG file-type.

Another thing to consider is the Preferences option to "Store Presets with this Catalog". You may have this option set differently in the catalogs.

Thanks for that info mate. I’ll check into it today.

Very surprising they don’t have the import export function!

Do you have Store Presets with this Catalog checked in Preferences?

I just checked and I didn't have it checked.

Should I check that box?

Yes. That is why the preset is with the older catalog... if you check the box it will keep the presets with the catalog you are using.
