Lightroom all of a sudden takes a very long while to export photos.  When i checked my activity monitor, LR is hogging my cpu and memory. This is the first time it ever happened.

Thanks for providing the details. Please try unchecking the option "use graphics processor" under Preferences> Performance menu in Lightroom and check if the app still uses that much memory in the Activity monitor?

Also, test create a new catalog and check how the application behaves.

Hi gawakoto,

Sorry that Lightroom is using high memory while exporting images.

Could you please let us know the version of Lightroom you're using and how many images at once are you exporting?

Thanks,

Akash
