I've been using photoshop elements on my mac for years. I just bought a new macbook pro and adobe isnt recognizing that i already own photoshop elements. Adobe is making me sign in for a 30 day trial with option to purchase but i already boughh it years ago. Any advice? Did they change it to a yearly subscription only??

You only have a license to the version of photoshop elements you had bought for your older mac.

If you install a different/newer version, then yes you would need to purchase it.

What version of photoshop elements is on your older mac?

What Jeff said.

You can download the version you own (and only that version) from Adobe:

Download Photoshop Elements | 2018, 15, and 14

Download Photoshop Elements 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, and 7

Install then enter your serial number.
