I have this error when trying to import RAW files.

Recheck your "Destination" settings in the Import dialog.

Is the Destination Drive an 'External' and connected?

Is there sufficient space for the photo files?

Is it possible you are trying to Import the photos back to the camera memory card?

Are you making "a second copy" at the time of Import and is this temporary backup 'Destination' available?

I also have other errors opening the new version

- Error on changing modules message

Troubleshooting guide for errors that can occur when you change modules in Lightroom

- Develop or crop function doesnt work

"Doesn't work"  how? Any error message?

Some more details of any error messages (the exact words or screen-clips) would be helpful.

Post a screen-clip of your LR System Info to help with possible answers.   LR Menu: HELP > SYSTEM INFO...

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.2 Photoshop 25.5, ACR 16.2, Lightroom 7.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.0.2, Windows-11.

Thank you for your prompt replies.

1. Error that comes up when I open Lightroom "An error occurred when attempting to change modules."
I have tried solution 1 from the link you suggested.  It did not work.  Will try reinstalling.

2. Error on importing RAW files - this worked fine till yesterday (before the upgrade)

Is the Destination Drive an 'External' and connected? Yes

Is there sufficient space for the photo files? Yes

Is it possible you are trying to Import the photos back to the camera memory card? No

Are you making "a second copy" at the time of Import and is this temporary backup 'Destination' available? NA

Canon RAW files being imported (.CR2)

3. Error - unable to activate the develop module.

Possibly linked to error 1.  I cannot see the modules active with my galleries after I launch Lightroom.

I need to click on Map or Book and then back to see the grid.  For develop, I can see the module come up after this but the editing window is not activated.

2. Error on importing RAW files

Can we see a screen-clip of the error message please?

3. Error - unable to activate the develop module.

With an in-avtivated Develop module- I am thinking that your subscription has expired, but your system info looks good.

If the re-install has not corrected the problems, try the common suggestions-

--Sign-out of the CC Desktop App, then Sign-In again.

--Reset the Preferences file.

If all else fails- contact Adobe Customer Care.

Please see attached.  A full reinstall of Lightroom did not help

I confirm that the source for the importing of photos and the destination (NAS) is reachable and otherwise accessible from LR and the Mac.

Aha! What kind of NAS? How are you connecting (SMB/CIFS, iSCSI, or Afp?). Using NAS drives for image storage can be quite problematic depending on how you connect and the type of NAS.

Thanks and sorry that I can get to this only on weekends.  I use a Synology NAS.  I am not sure what the connection type is but I think it is smb. The connections and imports have worked with Synology till the recent LR upgrade.
