Cap 4: Fehler beim Aufzeichnen

Ich habe keine Audio-Aufnahme aktiviert, woher könnte also dies Fehlermeldung kommen?

Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Wolf Voigt

Hi - my German is probably no better than your English - hopefully this can
help you.

My first suggestion is that you reboot your computer.

If that fails, try reinstalling Captivate 4.

If that still fails, try updating your sound card drivers.

If you have any microphone attached to your computer, remove it or
temporarily disable it within the Control Panel settings.

Google Translation follows:-

----------------

Hi Steve - thanks a lot for your advice.
(Sorry for my bad english, don't hit me!!!)

I have found a solution for the problem on the english forum - and it works very well (ist seems to be a problem on x64-systems).

1. close Captivate 4
2 run command com (cmd) in Admin mode
3. got to the Captivate install-directory
4. run 'regsvr32 NSaudio.dll' (without quotes)
5. the message 'registration of dll succesfull' should pop up
6. start Capivate again

Works by me :-)

So in 64-bit windows, this dll fails to register some times? Good to know,
as I'll be installing 64-bit Vista soon.

Is this a problem only on Vista? Or with all 64 bit machines?
How can I tell if I have a 64 bit machine?
Does this also solve the problem of audio quality/i.e. stereo not working in CP 4.0?

Thanks for the clarification.

Hi,
I think this is a problem on all x64 machines, but the registration of the dll should solve the problem.
May be this solve the other audio problems, too.

I am having the same mono/stereo problem with Captivate 4. I've been using Captivate 3 for with no difficulties on XP Pro. I know my equipment is working right and my drivers are correct. Other recording applications work fine.

I'm really REALLY upset about this. I upgraded and now I have a deadline which has passed me by a hour. I can't believe Adobe would do this with no resolution.

Hi Jstebenh, is the registring of the mentioned dll not working for you?

regsvr32 NSaudio.dll - give this a try, it's working for me.

What you got running on your PC - Vista x64? If this so, you have bad carts, sorry.
Captivate is a great software (but the Support has a traditionell long reaktion time). i'll try on this weekend a test installation an a Wi7 beta x64 machine.
Maybe you can create a workaround with a virtuell PC and a Vista x32 version?

Greetings Wolvo

sorry - my mistake!!
The installation on W7 beta was ok, but the error with the dll was still there.
So we have to talk to Adobe-Support to fix this problem.

And it's not just a vista problem - I am working with XP and still have this problem and entered a bug report three weeks ago and have heard nada from Adobe. I also had to recreate a project in CP3 after discovering the bug at the time of publishing in CP 4. I'm not very happy with the lack of response. It seems we can not work with CP4 until it is resolved.

I tried it but I am wondering if maybe did it incorrectly. Do you happen to know where can I download the new dll file? I had the link before but I can't remember where I got it.
Thanks,
Aimee
