files not showing when importing into lightroom

Hi,

suddenly my photos from my canon 5d mk2 are not showing when importing to lightroom. the photos are on the card and when i view them on my EOS digital drive i can see them. If i duplicate them on the card and try again i am able to see and import them into lightroom. Only the duplicates show in lightroom.

i have tried another card from a different canon camera and they show up ok.

I have also tried 2 cards so it is not the card at fault.

My mac has recently updated the operating system but has been ok for the last week or so.

Please help.

We had a similar problem recently where uninstalling and then reinstalling Lightroom solved this. Don’t worry, that will not affect your catalog.
