Custom preflight profile, and Preflight profile only catches Images with Ink Density images, not Vector fills/ or strokes from Indesign or Illustrator. Obviously I want the ink density to be flagged in any state. Attached is also the file that I have been testing with and the preflght profile

Dropbox - Ink Density Checks.pdf

Dropbox - Preflight Jacket_Cover_v07.kfp

Ink coverage is above 320%_2018Screen_Shot_2018-09-12_at_1_51_54_PM.png

this is the the check I was trying to add and also the error that I was gettingfill error.pngnot.png

This is a community forum. Your question is very specialised but maybe someone who can answer will see it in the next few days. Allow more than half an hour anyway... Good luck!

The text is not text in the PDF. Removing the text and the image to isolate the vectors, a standard magazine ads preflight flags all 3 elements on your test page (using Acrobat DC):

So I’d suggest that you compare the checks used in the standard preflight vs. your custom checks.

I’m confused, the screenshot that I posted clearly shows the 3 vector objects being reported as over 305%… So are you saying that it is just the 320% threshold that is not working the same?

Have you compared the checks used in the standard preflight as suggested?

I have deleted objects one by one and run the same preflight, the only object that fails detection is the image “live type” which is a CMYK raster of 357% (not live type as the text reads).
