Lightroom freezing up

All of a sudden LR freezes if I use any of the top tools. I open Files click export and then it freezes. I have to close it via task master. Same on using any other dropdowns from the top tool bar. Any help is appreciated.

What version NUMBER of Lightroom? We need the NUMBER and not words like "latest".
